Discussion on the challenges, the impact of international book festivals and their networking, will be held by: Adriana Martinez from Colombia, director of the LEA Festival; Claudia Neira from Nicaragua, director of the Centroamérica Cuenta Festival; Pilar Reyes, literary director of Penguin Random House; Mexican author and essayist Jorge Volpi; Spanish journalist Juan Cruz Ruíz, founding member of El Pais newspaper, author, and literary critic; and Manolis Pimplis, Chania Book Festival director.

Hiding places of self-esteem
Three experiential self-esteem workshops for children aged 5-12, each lasting thirty minutes, which will run simultaneously in three locations of the Centre for Mediterranean Architecture. Curated by the teacher, collaborator of the Mayor of Chania on education issues and author Anna Nempavlaki (“Ftou Kai Vgaino”/“Ready or not, here I come!”, Kaleidoscope Publishing) and by local artists and scientists, and others, the workshops will operate in a circular manner, so that all children will rotate through each one: 1st Workshop: “Delightful activity” (Athina Ntoulia, Education Advisor of the 1st Unit of Chania), 2nd Workshop: “A couple of words from Anna”, Anna Nempavlaki), 3rd Workshop: “Every work is a story” (Kosmas Lilikakis, artist).
